OUR STORY

Fair Winds Farmstead is a family run homestead founded by Christohper and Ashley Mackes, rooted in heritage and driven by heart. Nested in the country of Virginia, outside of the Hampton Roads, our farm is built on the belief that real food and honest craftsmanship can nourish both body and soul. 

Christopher comes from a long line of farmers, with deep experience in pasture raised livestock, sustainable agriculture, and market gardening. Ashley, a first generation farmer, brings a deep love for cooking, canning, baking from scratch, and creating gentle, handcrafted bath and body products made from ethically sourced and gentle ingredients. 

Together, along with our two children  one of whom already loves collecting eggs and helping with garden chores,  we work each day to grow, craft, and share what we believe in: clean food, simple luxuries, and a life connected to the land.
